Reasons why Android mobile hangs and its solutions

We use smartphones to do many things every day. This smartphone plays well with us and fulfills all the tasks given to us. But like humans, its ability to function within itself is limited. When the phone starts to hang, it means it is being used beyond its limits, which is beyond its tolerance. Your mobile's RAM, storage space, and how you use it all depend on how the mobile hangs.

Nowadays phone hanging problem also known as freezing or phone crash is a common problem in almost all smartphones. There are many reasons why a phone hangs, from software to hardware malfunctions. In today's chapter, we will learn about why mobile hangs and its solutions.

Here are some reasons why mobile hangs are: -

1. Low RAM capacity: -

If the RAM capacity of the mobile is low then we can open only a few apps at a time. If you open multiple apps at once on a device with low RAM, the phone will hang. The more you use mobile for a longer period of time, the more it becomes.

2. Less storage: -

Smartphones have limited storage capacity. Due to the variety of social networking apps and videos, photos, music and other files coming from other places, the storage fills up quickly and the device does not get enough storage to perform tasks easily. When you use more than 80% of the device's storage, problems like phone hang or freeze start to occur.

3. Malware apps: -

If you download a mobile app from a risky site or unreliable place, it may contain viruses. This virus can harm your mobile phone. These viruses interfere with the processes running in the background of your mobile and the mobile starts to hang.

4. Older softwares: -

If your phone has outdated software, it may cause your mobile to hang. Software companies are constantly upgrading to fix bugs, so that your phone doesn't run smoothly.

5. Phone overheats: -

Frequent use of the phone causes it to swell, causing problems such as hang or restart. The operating temperature of any phone should be between 30 to 38 degrees Celsius. If the temperature is higher than this, it becomes the main cause of hang.

What to do if Andorid Phonee hangs? Measures to solve this problem: -

1. Clear recent data of apps: -

Many apps on your mobile phone store some data during use, which over time becomes a burden on the mobile phone's ram, causing the phone to hang. To clear the latest data created by these apps from time to time, follow the steps below:

First go to "Settings".

 Now tap on “Apps”.

 Now choose the frequently used app. (E.g. browser)

Then tap on "Storage".

 Now tap on “Clear Data”.

2. Uninstall unwanted apps: -

If you download apps from other than the phone's default store (Play Store, Apple Store, etc.), you need to be careful. These apps usually contain viruses that slow down the performance of the phone. So it is better to uninstall these apps. Also, stop downloading apps from unreliable sources, so that no malware can enter your phone and affect mobile performance.

3. Use of Antivirus App

Some viruses enter your phone with a strong intent, so it is necessary to use antivirus to get rid of them. To do this, go to the app store of your mobile phone and search by typing antivirus. Then download your favorite antivirus and open it and scan your files.

4. Avoid installing heavy games (Avoid installing Heavy Games in mobile) :-

If you play large size games on mobile phones, they occupy a lot of space in the device's ram. After playing these games for a long time, the load on the RAM increases and the phone starts to hang. If you have low RAM in your phone, do not put such games on your mobile phone or use it for some time. Uninstall from mobile phone after playing later.

5. Download and install the latest software (Install latest Software & Update softwares): -

Software and other apps on your mobile phone release constantly updated versions, which fix bugs in your phone or apps and eliminate abnormalities. So you need to download and install your phone's system updates. This eliminates the hanging problem related to the previous software.

6. Delete Unwanted Files

Your mobile phone may contain a lot of unnecessary files that occupy storage space. Due to such files, the mobile phone does not get enough storage to run smoothly and it starts to hang. So delete unnecessary videos and photos, so that your phone runs smoothly without any interruption.

7. Use External Memory Card

If your phone's storage capacity is not enough to store the required files, you should be constantly deleting files from your mobile phone. So, to store the necessary files and make the phone run smoothly, start using the SD card so that all the necessary files can be stored in it.

8. Reset the factory setting of your mobile: -

If the above suggestions are not working and your phone is still hanging, I recommend you to do a reset of the phone software, also called factory reset. This will start the process of buying your mobile phone. But before you do that, make sure you have a backup of data so that no important information is erased.

Note: Please note! After performing a factory reset, all files from your phone will be deleted, so before doing so, be sure to back up the files.

If your phone is still hanging after following all the tips mentioned above, it could be a hardware related problem. So show your phone to a good mobile repair provider.
